Kirsten Enoch, LCSW
Kirsten (She/Her/Hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Theraplay® Practitioner, Trainer, and Supervisor-in-Training. She has received additional training and/or supervision in Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC), Trust Based Relational Interventions (TBRI), the Adult Attachment Interview (AAI), Non-Directive Play Therapy, and adoption-related mental health. She is currently pursuing her RPT certification.
Kirsten believes that play is vital to healing in children, and therefore uses play to build trust, regulate emotions, and explore thoughts and feelings that might not otherwise surface verbally. She uses a strengths-based approach in working with families to promote secure attachments, foster healthy relationships, and promote mutual enjoyment. She has worked extensively with children with attachment-related concerns, including those in families built through foster care and adoption. She specializes in working with children and families on issues of trauma, grief, loss, displacement, identity, anxiety, and other related issues. Kirsten is especially drawn to working with younger children toward building a foundation for lifelong positive mental health.
In addition to her work with children, Kirsten also works with adults seeking to understand and reshape their attachment patterns. Drawing on her training in the Adult Attachment Interview, she helps clients explore how early relationships impact present-day dynamics, and supports them in fostering secure, fulfilling connections.
Kirsten earned her Master of Social Work with a mental health concentration from the University of Illinois at Chicago. There, she also earned a certificate in Integrated Behavioral Health with children and adolescents.
